The DHSBA Roadmap
Tiffany St-Germain, Vice-President, and Peter Cluff, Secretary, are co-chairs of this Committee with Paul St-Germain [now Director Marketing] and Sue Sutcliffe [long-time Association member] serving as Volunteers.
This committee was formed in September 2007 and is reponsible to research and recommend the specific direction that the Association should take over the next 5 years.
Its aims are to retain the unique niche that the Association enjoys while determining changes that may be needed in the Association.
In early 2008, it became clear that there were enough significant upgrades needed that would fill the 2007-2008 year with Committee activities. While the 5-year Plan will now be delayed until the 2008-2009 Association year, the Committee has delivered the following so far this year: Deliverables:
* Job Descriptions for all 9 Board Members, and
* Changes to the Association's By-Laws, and
* A Meeting Cancellation Plan.
The Committee will re-convene in September, 2008 to begin working on the 5-Year Strategic Plan, which will be provided to the Board in Spring, 2009. The Plan will be available to all DHSBA members at the AGM in June, 2009.
In the meantime, please submit your recomendations to improve the DHSBA to any Board or Committee member by email. YOUR OPINION COUNTS!
Following its initial submission, the Committee will remain in place ad infinitum to track the Association's progress against the Plan and to revise the Plan to include a new year.
For example, the initial 5-year Plan will cover the years 2009 through 2013. The second year Plan will analyze the year 2009 and will be revised to cover the years 2010 through 2014. And so on.
