What should I expect at a meeting?
Each of our regular meetings is designed to maximize networking opportunities and to provide an educational component of value to a business owner. Since the lines between personal life and business life often overlap for an entrepreneur, personal development is equally valued with professional development. Our education will enrich both areas of your life.
Agenda6:30 Open networking and registration
7:00 Meeting beginsIntroductions and opening remarks
- 30 second introductions
- News and events
- Open networking
- Guest speaker
How to prepare
Bring plenty of business cards. There are normally 50 to 70 people at each event.
Dress professionally. This is a business meeting.
Dress code:
- Business casual
- Your clothing should be clean and untorn
- Business tshirts are allowed: blank or with business identity
- Remember, you only get 30 seconds to make a first impression
Practice your 30 second introduction. It should include:
- name and company
- what your service/product is
- what makes you & your business special?
- who is your ideal client? or what are you looking for?
Goals for the event:
Plan to make 3 or 4 strong connections. Collecting business cards from 20 people that did not have a chance to get to know you will not open the door to new business. Relax, have fun and build relationships.
