Betty Penny Scholarship
The Betty Penny Scholarship deadline is May 15th 2010
Background:
Betty Penny is the Founder of the Durham Home and Small Business Association.
Betty formed the DHSBA with a few business associates in 1996 to let the community at large know about small business and to help entrepreneurs and small business owners gain knowledge and assistance from other business owners who had successfully overcome the many barriers that face small business.
Betty is a Life Member of the DHSBA and runs very successful accounting and boat charter businesses in Port Perry, Ontario.

The awards committee and Betty Penny will select the winner.
Deadline:
May 15th 2010
Judged by:
A committee of three DHSBA members will judge the winner using a scoring rubric.
Betty Penny will review the final three candidates and choose the award winner. The award will be presented to the successful candidate, who will attend as Betty Penny’s guest, at the DHSBA Annual General Meeting in June.
The applicant’s parent, family member or friend, who is a DHSBA member and providing a reference for the applicant, is ineligible to be on the selection committee because of conflict of interest.
