RUNNING FOR THE BOARD
Elections
Election of Board Directors happens at the Annual General Meeting each June.
The slate of DHSBA members running for the 8 Directors’ positions is based on Nominations received from members during April and May each year. The Board sends out Nomination Forms or makes them available on this site or hands them out at meetings.
The Board then contacts each Nominee to ensure they will run for the Board and, if they agree, adds them to the slate, which is available at the registration table at the AGM.

- Save it to your PC, complete it electronically and attach it to an email to Corry Hamilton, DHSBA Secretary, at secretary@dhsba.com, or
- Print it, hand complete it,and bring it to the May 5th DHSBA meeting and hand it to Corry.
Board Jobs
It is important that you know what these jobs entail when you decide to run for the Board of Directors.
The individual Board jobs, except Past President, are usually decided at the first meeting of the new Board following the Annual General Meeting.
If you are elected, be sure to access and review any Board Job Description to prepare for the “Pass the Torch” meeting of the Board in June or July.
